Question: Do I have to pay sales tax?Answer: This is a question that I hear a lot, and one that I have noticed that many online businesses are mistaken on. The short answer is yes, you do have to pay sales tax. If you live in the state of Louisiana, where we are located, you will have to pay 7% sales tax. If you live somewhere else, then you do not pay
us any sales tax, however, you are supposed to go and tell your local tax office that you made a purchase from out of state and pay them the appropriate sales tax, which will vary depending on where you live.
Question: Why is it that your items are not tax-included?Answer: I am aware that many people selling things online offer tax-free sales. It has recently come to my attention that all tax-included and tax-free sales are illegal. I have been informed that I must charge a separate amount to cover sales tax on sales within my state, and must report any excess tax collected from other states to the IRS. I am currently looking into what I have been told on tax-included sales being illegal, as I would like to do such if I am permitted.
